  1. I love how desperate is in BOLD and CAPS. I'm pretty sure he's desperately insane.

PS - another quick Google search found this:

  2. Believe it or not, I got pretty much the same letter about two years ago. We should start a drag racing company. Trust me.....it makes total sense if you really think about it.

  15. Update:
He is still at it as of 22 June 2012. He is owner of Pangleean Morotsports now, still a drag racer, and "Quality Engineer". Apparently, with such focus on quality that is template makes akward sentences like, "I have had the opportunity to view many different companies and disciplines and have found that the Umpty Squat Fire Rescue is truly WORLD CLASS." [Name Removed, not really Umpty Squat]Obviously, it is a form letter and not quality for sure look at the sentence structure?? How much does this guy spend on postage, and apparently he gets enough stuff for free to justify it. Someone that has sent him something needs to check EBay to see if the item shows up there. I am sure their is a method to the madness, but he can make a dime off of someone else not a struggling volunteer department with extremely limited funding who needs to use limited resources to protect peoples lives. If he wants to make a generous donation (and not just the cost of the patch) to our department and cause, then I will take it under advisement, really??

  75. We just received a Skorupski letter since our department is "truly World Class." He would like to have "a photo of one of your vehicles that I could frame and mount on the wall of my transportation room." The return address is in Inverness but it was postmarked from Jacksonville, which is about two and a half hours away. We called the phone number and it went to a voice mail that was hard to understand but it was a woman's voice that said we reached a voice mailbox for what sounded like "Criterian Brothers." He will not be receiving a response from us.

  76. I am an intern at SAPD. I looked over a letter sent to our Chief about a week ago from Jim Skorupski, who apparently used to serve at Lackland AFB and wanted a picture of an SAPD vehicle for his, "Texas Room." I called the phone number to get some more information and it went to a voicemail that was hard to understand but said we reached a voicemailbox for "Criterion Brothers." I did some searching and found this page and others indicating that this is some kind of scam.
